CHARLESTON, S.C. - After a fall season full of near misses, the Jacksonville men's golf finished strong on Tuesday, rallying from a two-stroke deficit to win the Charleston Southern Spring Kickoff Invitational.
Jamie Kennedy led the Dolphins' effort with a two-under par 69 as passed Atlantic Sun Conference rival Campbell to win by eight shots.
"The guys played well enough to win today," said JU head coach Jim Taketa. "We didn't play great, but we got the job done. Now we need to go back to work to build off of this if we want to have a successful season."
The Dolphins finished ahead of six teams in the A-Sun, defeating Campbell, Kennesaw State, Gardner-Webb, Florida Atlantic and Stetson.
