WAVERLY, Ga. University of North Florida sophomore Jeff Dennis shot a course- record 65 in the final round of the Sanctuary Cove Preview to help lead the Ospreys to a second-place finish in their season-opening event. Dennis recovered from an opening-round 75 to finish fifth, one stroke behind UNF freshman J.C. Horne and Jacksonville's Russell Knox and Matt Kleinrock.

Horne opened his day with a 68 before shooting an even-par 71 in the afternoon round.

Jacksonville won the tournament, which featured four Atlantic Sun teams, finishing with a two-round total of 554. UNF finished the event with a 568. Gardner- Webb (582) and Mercer (590) rounded out the scoring.

"The tournament was a good tune-up before our first regular event of the year," UNF head coach Scott Schroeder said. "It was good to get a look at the course that we will see at the conference tournament."
