Waverly, Ga. – ETSU’s Seamus Power sunk a 195-yard hole-in-one off of the 13th as part of a 67-stroke round to extend his individual lead during the 2007 Atlantic Sun Men’s Golf Championship at The Golf Club at Sanctuary Cove in Waverly, Ga., on Tuesday.

After shooting 38 on the front nine, Power carded four pars, four birdies and an ace on the back side to finish the day two under par and extend his lead to three strokes over North Florida’s Michael O’Neal.

Seamus’ 67 for the day is currently the lowest round recorded at the championship this year. Two others also shot rounds under 70. O’Neal recorded a 69 for UNF while ETSU’s Rhys Davis turned in a 68.

As a team, ETSU now holds a 10-stroke lead over North Florida. The Buccaneers are 17-over-par after shooting six-under as a team today.

Individually, after being tied for the lead after round one, Jeff Dennis (UNF) is now four-strokes off the leader while Gareth Shaw is seven-strokes behind.

Gardner-Webb’s Blake Palmer shot an 83 on day one and was tied for 37th but turned things around in round two. Palmer posted the first round under par of the championship, shooting a 70 and jumping 25 spots on the leaderboard to hold a 12th place tie after 36 holes of the 54-hole event.

Final round action is set to begin at 7:30 a.m. when Stetson’s Steven Neidemire and Lipscomb’s Dustin Lynch take to the course.
