SUNSET BEACH, N.C. - Josh Gallman stood on his next to last hole of the day tied atop the individual leaderboard at the Sea Trail Intercollegiate. He birdied the par-4 sixth hole to finish with a school record 54-hole total 206 (-10) to claim the individual championship.

Gallman's win marks the second individual title of the year for Upstate. Michael Lawrence claimed the individual championship at the Rutgers Invitational last week, leading Upstate to the team title along the way. The Sea Trail intercollegiate used a shotgun start with players scattered on the course. Gallman started on No. 8 and finished on No. 7.

"Josh's performance was nothing less than stellar," said head coach Todd Lawton. "He was consistent from the beginning to the end. Honestly, his score could have been lower. I am excited about the direction his game is going and he is getting comfortable making birdies."

"We are really strong at the front end and we need to work to get the 4-5 scores lower. When we do that our team scores will improve. But, it's really exciting. The top 2-3 players have shown they can play with anyone."
