Senior Jordan Gibb rounds out the scoring for the Ospreys, tying for 154th with an 11-over, 83. “The team played real well today,” said head coach Scott Schroeder. “No one went low so it was four solid scores that led us. We are right in the mix now, so we just need to keep playing one shot at a time. It will be fun again tomorrow.” Overcoming an up-and-down front nine, Enoch (Cornwall, England) posted three birdies on his final nine holes to finish at even par 72 .The 52nd-ranked player in the country, Enoch finished the day tied for 36th and is just four strokes back of the lead, which is shared by Arizona State’s Jesper Kennegard and Augusta State’s Henrik Norlander at 4-under-par 68. “It was a bit of a struggle out there today to be honest,” said Enoch, who was happy to still be well in contention. “I’m very happy to have managed it and plugged along. After my first few shots I thought I was out of it, and I didn’t play well on the front, but I was able to find something on the back. I’m looking forward to tomorrow.” Starting the day on the 10th hole, Enoch bogeyed his first hole but rallied for a pair of birdies over the next four. However, another bogey and a double bogey followed, leaving him at 2-over 38 on his front nine. The back was a different story though, as three birdies and a bogey left him at 2-under 34, and at even-par 72 for the day. The Ospreys tee off on hole 10 at 12:59 p.m. on Wednesday in the second round of action. All rounds can be followed on Golfstat.com.
