Thursday, June 03, 2010

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – UNF's Sean Dale and ETSU's Seamus Power and Rhys Enoch were named to the Division I PING All-Region team for the southeast region.

This season Dale helped the Ospreys to their first NCAA Championships berth since 2000. He is currently ranked 13th in the Golfstat Index and 21st in the Golfweek/Sagarin standings.

He placed 10th at NCAA South Central Regionals, scoring a 3-under 213 (71-73-71). He has tallied 14 sub-par rounds this season with a season low 66 coming at the Wolf Run Invitational where he claimed the top individual finish at the tournament. Dale has finished in the top-10 six times this season and claimed Atlantic Sun Golfer of the Mont in September. He ranked as high as first in the country during the fall.

Power, who captured the Atlantic Sun Conference individual championship for the second time in his college career earlier this season, finished second on the team in stroke average and was a consistent performer throughout the season. Meanwhile, Enoch led the squad in stroke average and finished tied for first at the NCAA East Regionals, earning a spot in this week’s NCAA Championships.

A total of 153 players across six regions were named to the All-Region squad. A full list of those players named on the Southeast squad is found below:
