UNF’s Aylwin Picks up Golfer of the Month Honor

MACON, Ga. – UNF’s Kevin Aylwin became the second Osprey in as many months to receive the Atlantic Sun’s Golfer of the Month award, the conference office announced on Thursday. Aylwin finished in the top 15 in all three October events and posted a 71.11 stroke average.

GOLFER OF THE MONTH:
Kevin Aylwin, UNF (Jr. – New Smyrna Beach, Fla. – Business Management)

  • First A-Sun Golfer of the Month award
  • Collected Top 15 finishes in all three UNF events
  • Two Top 10 showings - pair of T-8th
  • Team’s top finisher at Brickyard Collegiate and David Toms Intercollegiate
  • Posted sub-par scores in six rounds including a fall best 69 at David Toms Intercollegiate
  • Boasted a 71.11 stroke average in the month with his highest round a two-over-par 74

 

OTHER NOMINEES:

  • Josh Cone (Jr., Mercer) – Posted his top finish at Mercer t-6th at the Memphis Intercollegiate
  • Vaita Guillaume (Jr., Campbell) – Finished in top 20 three times including a 4th-place showing
  • Dan Mazziotta (Sr., FGCU) – Two top-10 finishes; stroke average of 71.8 for the month
  • Matt Nagy (Jr., Kennesaw State) – Won the individual title at the Rees Jones Intercollegiate
  • Dan Smith (Sr., Belmont) – Posted two top-10 finishes, including a t-2nd at Murray State
  • Sam Ryder (Jr., Stetson) – Tied for second at the Mission Inn Fall Intercollegiate
