FGCU's Hernandez Takes First Career A-Sun Honor

MACON, Ga. – FGCU's Jack Hernandez finished in a tie for seventh at the Rice Intercollegiate with a two-under par, 214, which included a final round 70. His performance helped the Eagles to a third-place finish and earned the freshman the Atlantic Sun Men's Golfer of the Week honor.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Jack Hernandez, FGCU (Fr. – Fort Myers, Fla.)
• First Career A-Sun Golfer of the Week honor
• Tied for seventh at Rice Intercollegiate with two-under par, 214
• Recorded a two-under (7) in the final round to help Eagles to third-place finish
• Totaled 12 birdies at the event including four in the final round

OTHER NOMINEES:
• Scott Gibson (ETSU) - Shot an even-par, 216, at Puerto Rico Classic to tie for 19th
• Hans Reimers (Mercer) - Earned his third top-20 finish of the season with a three-round total of 217
