MACON, Ga. – The Atlantic Sun Conference honored Kennesaw State's Ben Greene as the 2013 Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year to highlight the league’s Men's Golf Academic All-Conference team.
Greene helped the Owls to a third-place finish in the Atlantic Sun Championship, carding a Top-20 finish with a three-round total of 229. He fired his lowest round of the year (68) in the second round of the USF Invitational and recorded a runner-up finish at the Pinetree Intercollegiate, in which the Owls claimed the team title. Greene led the team in Eagles with three, and was second on the team in pars per round behind First-Team All-Conference selection Jimmy Beck.
The A-Sun introduced the new sport-by-sport Academic All-Conference teams in 2012 to recognize student-athletes who embody the conference’s mission of Building Winners for Life. All the members of the team boast a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or better and participated in at least half of their team’s games.
