MACON, Ga. - Austin Vick shot a two-over-par 218 and finished in a tie for fourth at the Rees Jones Invitational in his season debut to claim #ASunMGolf honors as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Vick finished just six strokes back of the leader, South Florida's Chase Koepka, who recorded the only under-par total of 212 (-4) in the challenging Rees Jones field.
He finished one stroke ahead of teammate Jimmy Beck and among several other golfers ranked in the top 150 in the nation, tying with Matthew NeSmith from North Carolina State, who is ranked No. 66 in Golfweek's individual rankings.
Vick tallied nine birdies for the tournament and finished as the top participant playing as an individual in the event by seven strokes. The Owls have won the Rees Jones title in three of the last four years.
