DeLAND, Fla. - Kris Shepherd and Wesley Sheard each shot a 4 over par 220 to lead the Owls to the championship of the 2006 Stetson/CFSC Invitational played at the Victoria Hills Golf Club.
The Owls won their final event of the season, a nine-team event, by six strokes over runner-up Bethune-Cookman College.
Kennesaw State was in a tie for second place behind B-CC after the first round, but shot a 296 over the final two rounds to come-from-behind.
Shepherd held the lead after two rounds after shooting a 1 over par 73 in the first round and a 1 under par 71 in the second round. However, a 4 over par 76 in the final round left the door open for Daniel Laughlin of Rollins to capture the individual title.
