Macon, Ga. -- Campbell's Lincoln Gordon was named Atlantic Sun Athlete of the Week after breaking his personal best record.

The Fuquay-Varina, N.C. was the top collegiate finisher with his jump of 14.76m beating out athletes from Duke, North Carolina, North Carolina State and several others; his jump broke his old school record of 14.64m.

Gordon is a sophomore majoring in Social Work.

The Atlantic Sun Athlete of the Week is announced every Wednesday during the 2005 cross country season.

The 11-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., consists of Belmont, Campbell, ETSU, Florida Atlantic, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Florida and Stetson.
