O'Dell and Shepherd Capture A-Sun Weekly Honors

MACON, Ga. - ETSU's Tim O'Dell and North Florida's David Shepherd earned the Atlantic Sun Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors, announced Wednesday by the league office. O'Dell captured the 400-meter dash title at the Virginia Tech Last Chance Meet, while Shepherd opened the outdoor season with a program-record height in the pole vault.

TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK:

(Jr. – Sprints – Palm Coast, Fla. – Allied Health)
  • First Career A-Sun Track Athlete of the Week Honor
  • Won the 400m dash at the Virginia Tech Last Chance Meet
  • His time of 48.13 set a personal best and ranks first in A-Sun for indoor
OTHER NOMINEES:
  • Kendal Parks (Sr., Kennesaw State) – Won first place in the 110m hurdles at UNF Spring Break Invite (14.25)
  • Cameron Dickerson (Sr., North Florida) – Won 5,000m by eight seconds at UNF Spring Break Invite (14:57.55)
