MACON, Ga. – The A-Sun will hold its 2014 Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, NC, Feb. 21-22, the conference announced Tuesday.

"We are excited about conducting our indoor track & field championships at a first-rate facility such as JDL Fast Track,” said A-Sun Commissioner Ted Gumbart. “Providing the best experience possible for our student-athletes is a primary objective with every A-Sun championship, and we certainly expect that a venue of this quality will help us deliver that for our membership in 2014.”

The A-Sun Indoor Track & Field Championships join a growing list of high school, college, youth and masters championships hosted by JDL Fast Track. Additionally, in 2014, JDL Fast Track will also host the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships as well as several NCAA conference championships. JDL Fast Track’s facility director Craig Longhurst is eager to show another NCAA Division I conference the hospitality that has become a staple at this privately-owned indoor track and field facility.

“We pride ourselves on our customer service and look forward to providing a great experience for the student-athletes of the Atlantic Sun," said Longhurst. "With the Mondo track, warm-up area, multiple results screens and seating of more than 1,500, we plan to show the Atlantic Sun that JDL Fast Track wants to become the home to the Atlantic Sun’s indoor track and field championship for years to come.”

Jacksonville and Kennesaw State will look to extend their title runs at JDL Fast Track in 2014, as both squads repeated as Atlantic Sun Indoor Track & Field Champions in 2013-12. The Dolphins collected their eighth-straight indoor title as they remain undefeated in A-Sun Indoor Track and Field Championships. JU finished with five event wins overall and a total of 173 points. The Owls won their first back-to-back championship title with 228.5 points in the meet to collect the largest margin of victory in conference history by 44.5 points.
