Rock Hill, SC – On Saturday afternoon, the Bulldogs (4-0-2) would only need one goal to defeat the Radford Highlanders (3-2) in the third game of the Wingate Inn Classic at Winthrop University.
The game was a tale of two different halves, as the undefeated Bulldogs started out slow, while the Highlanders controlled the ball for the majority of the first half. The Highlanders would out shoot the Runnin’ Bulldogs 9-2 in the first half, testing GWU goalkeeper Chris Leible, who started in place of the injured Kettering. Leible, from Aichtal, Germany, looked good in his first appearance as a Runnin’ Bulldog making five saves on the day and collecting his first shutout on the season.
