2005 Men's Soccer Championship -- Day 1
MACON, Ga. -- In the first match of the A-Sun Men's Soccer Tournament, No. 4 Florida Atlantic grabbed the victory over No. 5 Jacksonville, 2-1, to advance to the semifinals to take on No. 1-seeded Campbell tomorrow.

Right out of the gate, Jacksonville took a 1-0 lead in the first five minutes of action with a goal by Brian Blackburn assisted by Akeem Priestley.

With over three minutes remaining, FAUs Andrew Helm sent a piercing shot past JU's Gerrit deBoer to tie the match. At the end of the first half, both teams had seven shots each.

In the second half, shots were traded back and forth until a goal by Leo de Mata sealed the Dolphins' fate and put the Owls ahead by one.

FAU will take on Campbell tomorrow at 4 pm, looking to avenge the 3-2 loss handed to them by the Camels last week.
