JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - - Junior forward Tommy Krizanovic (Jacksonville/Englewood) recorded a goal and an assist to help the Jacksonville University men's soccer team pull past Berry College, 2-0, in exhibition action Sunday afternoon at the Ashley Sports Complex.

The Dolphins and the Vikings played three 30-minute periods and battled through a 100-degree heat index. Krizanovic scored the Dolphins' first goal in the first period off a pass from sophomore defender Jason Marquart (Huntsville, Texas/Hunstville). Krizanovic received the pass along the center of the field and snuck the goal in past Berry's goalie, Will Barbieri, over pursuing the play.

With a few minutes left in the third period, Krizanovic dished a pass from the left side to sophomore forward Jesse Kehoe (Key West, Fla./Key West) , who dropped it in a wide-open goal to seal up the victory. The Dolphins defense held the Vikings to only 11 shots on goal, while redshirt sophomore Loren Shumard (Tampa, Fla./HB Plant) and freshman Joey Sanchez (Houston, Texas/Elkins) each logged a full period in goal for JU.

The Dolphins travel to play in their final exhibition match on Saturday August 27, against Georgia Southern at 2 p.m..
