Tuesday, October 20, 2009 NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Redshirt freshman Brandon Tarr (Knoxville, Tenn.) added another accolade to his list of achievements this year when he was named to Top Drawer Soccer’s Team of the Week. Tarr’s stellar weekend included the equalizing goal that sent the game into overtime against Jacksonville, and it was an assist by Tarr that freed up teammate Will Moorad (Brentwood, Tenn.) for the game-winning goal in overtime. Tarr added two more goals on Sunday against UNF in a 4-1 rout of their division rival. In all, Tarr had 3 goals, 1 assist, and 7 points to cap off an incredible weekend for the Bruins who moved up four spots in the Atlantic Sun rankings after winning two straight over the weekend. Tarr’s three goals over the weekend give him eight goals total for the season, which ties him with Griffin Gilstrap of Stetson as tops in the Atlantic Sun Conference. He also leads the league in the goals per game and points per game categories. He is currently second in total points. |
