Tuesday, September 28, 2010 MACON, Ga. – Two men’s soccer teams from the Atlantic Sun Conference appeared in the NSCAA South Region poll yesterday with FGCU (4-2-2) jumping up to sixth place and ETSU (5-2) receiving its first-ever regional ranking as the Bucs were voted eighth. The Eagles went 1-0 on the week defeating FIU, 2-1, while the Bucs tallied two overtime victories to secure the program’s first ranking.
In total, three teams from the A-Sun have appeared in the rankings so far this season as Jacksonville earned an eighth-place ranking in week two of the poll. The Eagles have been in the poll for three weeks and reached as high as fifth in the opening week of the poll for their victory at then-ranked No. 13 USF. |
