Tuesday, October 12, 2010 MACON, Ga. – In the week six of the NSCAA Men's Soccer South Region Poll, FGCU (8-2-2, 4-0) returned to sixth place after falling to seventh place last week, while Stetson (7-2-1, 4-0) appeared in the poll at No. 10 for the first time this season. After two weeks of league play, Stetson and FGCU remain as the only undefeated teams left after the duo both posted wins over ETSU and USC Upstate last week.
In total, four teams from the A-Sun have appeared in the rankings so far this season as Jacksonville earned an eighth-place ranking in week two of the poll, while ETSU, who was ranked in the previous two polls, dropped out of the South Region rankings this week after appearing in the poll for the first time in program history. The Eagles have been in the poll for five weeks and reached as high as fifth in the opening week of the poll for their victory at then-ranked No. 13 USF. |
