MACON, Ga. – Belmont's Brandon Tarr and Lou Manning helped the Bruins to a 1-0-1 start to Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Soccer play as Tarr notched two goals in a 3-1 win vs. No. 22 ETSU, while Manning made a season-high nine stops vs. USC Upstate in a 0-0 tie to earn the duo the A-Sun Men's Soccer Player of the Week awards.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Brandon Tarr, Belmont (Jr. – Forward – Knoxville, Tenn. – Business Administration)
• Third Career Player of the Week award; second this season
• Netted two goals in 3-1 win against No. 22 ETSU in conference opener
• His 22 career goals ties for most in Belmont history
• Currently leads the A-Sun in points (15) and goals (7)

OTHER NOMINEES:
• Hakeem King (Sr., USC Upstate) – Scored and assisted in 3-1 win against Lipscomb in conference opener
• Josh Shutter (Jr., Mercer) – Registered assist on game-winner vs. UNF; scored vs. Jacksonville on Sunday
• William Morse (Jr., FGCU) – Gave Eagles win against Stetson with game-winner in 64th minutes
• Garret Pettis (Sr., Lipscomb) – Converted game-winning penalty kick vs. ETSU for program's first win against top-25 opponent

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Lou Manning, Belmont (Jr. – Goalkeeper – Southlake, Texas)
• First Career Player of the Week award
• Stopped 14 shots in opening week of A-Sun play
• Recorded 0-0 shutout of USC Upstate by making nine saves vs. Spartans
• Helped Bruins to 3-1 win against No. 22 ETSU on Thursday

OTHER NOMINEES:
• Adam Glick (Sr., FGCU) – Totaled nine saves in 3-1 win vs. Stetson
• Jason McCabe (Sr., USC Upstate) – Amassed 21 saves in three matches on the week; allowed only three goals
