• Lipscomb and Belmont square off in the Battle of the Boulevard on Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Bisons home field. The Bisons are undefeated against the Bruins in the past five seasons with four wins and two ties including a face-off in the 2007 Atlantic Sun Championship. Both teams are coming off victories against No. 22 ETSU last week, but the Bruins enter with a 5-5-1 record compared to Lipscomb's 2-8-2 mark.
• The match between the Bruins and Bisons features several top goal scorers in the A-Sun. Belmont's Brandon Tarr currently leads the A-Sun in points (15) and goals (7), while his teammate Nico Olsak is best in the league for assists with six. However, Lipscomb features the A-Sun's active point leader in Garret Pettis with 28 career goals and eight assists. Pettis ranks seventh in the conference with nine points this season.

• Through the first week of conference play, four teams remain undefeated including Belmont, FGCU, Jacksonville and USC Upstate. The Spartans and Dolphins face one another on Friday in the River City, while FGCU welcomes Mercer to Fort Myers on Friday. Only twice in conference history has two teams finished the conference slate with undefeated records (1989, 94).
• Currently, FGCU is on a 10-game winning streak in A-Sun games after finishing the 2010 season undefeated at 9-0. After winning its conference opener against Stetson, FGCU looks to extend the streak against Mercer on Friday at the FGCU Soccer Complex, where they have a 11-game conference unbeaten streak (10-0-1). Only on two occasions have A-Sun teams posted back-to-back undefeated conference seasons (FIU; 1994-95 / Centenary; 1989-90).
• ETSU and FGCU remained in the NSCAA South Region Poll this week with the Eagles climbing to No. 4 in the rankings, while ETSU fell into a tie with Wake Forest in seventh. The Bucs lost their national ranking after dropping the first two conference games, while the Eagles remained ranked No. 25 in the Goal.com Top-25 poll.
• FGCU's senior goalkeeper Adam Glick was named a Lowe's Senior CLASS Award Finalist this week for his achievements on the pitch, in the classroom and in his local community. Glick currently ranks 18th in A-Sun history for career saves, while his 18 career shutouts ties for third most in the A-Sun. A dual major with a 3.43 cumulative grade point average (GPA) in business management and business marketing, Glick is also a three-time A-Sun All-Academic honoree.
