• With the 2-0 win at North Florida on Sunday, USC Upstate's Head Coach Greg Hooks won his 200th game as the Spartans frontman. The milestone comes in his 17th season as the head coach in Spartanburg and has seen a long string of success including two appearances in the NCAA Division II National Championship (1995, 98). To go along with his six overall appearances in the NCAA Division II Tournament, Hooks has coached 12 All-Americans, 33 All-Region selections, 44 All-Conference picks and 41 All-Tournament team selections. Seven of his players have been named a conference Player of the Year and five have earned league All-Tournament MVP honors.
Three conference games were decided by overtime last weekend; two of which came on Friday. FGCU took down Mercer, 2-1, in the first overtime period on Cristian Raudales' second goal of the match, while earlier on Friday ETSU rallied to tie the contest in the 89th minute before capping the game in the 101st minute on a Theo Yang game-winner. Stetson completed the dramatic weekend with a Ryan Asare-Bediako overtime winner in the 96th minute vs. the Bears.
