Three A-Sun Teams Appear in Initial NCAA RPI Top-100 Rankings

MACON, Ga. - FGCU, ETSU and Jacksonville all landed in top-100 of the initial NCAA RPI rankings, released Tuesday, with the Eagles leading the way at No. 41. The Buccaneers appeared at No. 61 in the rankings, while the Dolphins landed in 90th.

This season, the A-Sun has picked up seven wins against teams ranked in various top-25 polls. ETSU has defeated two top-50 RPI teams, while also earning road wins against Marshall (No. 83) and UNC-Greensboro (No. 111). The Bucs also tied Furman (No. 51) earlier in the season.

The Eagles have claimed road victories against two top-100 RPI teams including No. 31 UCF and No. 80 Saint Louis, while also earning ties vs. No. 62 Washington and at No. 101 Portland. Jacksonville, who leads the A-Sun with 13 points, owns one top-100 victory and also tied No. 11 FIU.

Other notable ranking for the A-Sun include; Stetson (124), Mercer (132) and Belmont (137). Last season, the A-Sun finished as the 16th-best RPI conference and the nation's largest improvement from the 2009-10 season.
