Rodriguez, Ranjitsingh Take Home A-Sun Men's Soccer Honors

MACON, Ga. – Jacksonville's Nick Rodriguez and Mercer's Greg Ranjitsingh claimed the Atlantic Sun Men's Soccer weekly award winners, announced Monday by the league office.

Rodriguez totaled three points in a 2-2 tie at UCF, while Ranjitsingh posted two shutouts wins against Georgia Southern and Georgia State.

  • First Career A-Sun Player of the Week honor
  • Tallied a goal and an assist in 2-2 tie at UCF - a 2011 NCAA Tournament team
  • Scored in the 63rd minute on a header from a throw in
  • Crossed a ball into the box in the 67th minute for his assist
  • Carl-Oscar Andersson (MF, Mercer) - Picked up two assists in two Mercer wins
  • Nick Toney (F, Northern Kentucky) - Scored twice in 3-2 loss at Pittsburgh
  • Deven Bahadoorsingh (MF, Lipscomb) - Tallied Lipscomb's lone goal in 3-1 loss to Central Conn. State

  • First Career A-Sun Defensive Player of the Week honor
  • Earned two shutout wins for Mercer by totaling 11 saves
  • Stopped six Georgia Southern attempts in 1-0 road win
  • Add five saves in 2-0 win vs. Georgia State
  • Has recorded three-straight shutouts and 11 in his career
