Monday, September 09, 2013

MACON, Ga. - The second installment of Atlantic Sun Men's Soccer Weekly Awards went to the River City as Jacksonville's Nick Rodriguez and North Florida's Brad Sienkiewicz garnered the honors for their respective programs.

Rodriguez netted the first goal of the season for Jacksonville with a third minute tally against Grand Canyon before adding another goal to seal a 3-1 victory vs. the Antelopes. His 11 career goals ranks third most among active A-Sun student-athletes.

Sienkiewicz captured his first shutout in an Osprey uniform as he recorded five saves on the road against UCF in a 1-0 overtime victory. The road win pushed UNF's record to 2-0-1 - its best start since the 2002 season - as the Ospreys earned the program's second-ever win against the Golden Knights.
