JU's Krizanovic and GWU's Kettering Claim Weekly Awards

MACON, Ga. – JU’s Tommy Krizanovic and Gardner-Webb's Tyler Kettering claimed A-Sun Player of the Week honors. For Krizanovic, it is his second straight POTW designation.
Krizanovic recorded four goals and eight points for the Dolphins and entered the week ranked first nationally with nine goals in six games.
The senior tied a career-high with a hat trick in the Dolphins 4-0 win over Georgia State to win the JU-Nike Invitational The Slavonski Brod, Croatia native added his ninth goal of the season against Wright State on Friday Krizanovic majors in International Business and claims Player of the Week honors for the second time in three weeks.
Kettering had 13 saves in two games this weekend. On Friday night, the senior would stop nine shots by the Furman offense, as the Bulldogs were outshot for the game 14-6 on the way to a 1-0 loss against the 10th ranked team in the region. Versus Coastal Carolina on Sunday, the Xenia, Ohio native would pick up four saves over the 110 minutes. However, none was bigger than the save he had early in the first overtime period which preserved the 1-1 tie for the Bulldogs. The tie ended a four-match win streak for the Chants. The 13 saves draws Kettering only 10 saves away from becoming the all-time career saves leader at GWU.

The 12-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., consists of Belmont, Campbell, ETSU, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, UNF and Stetson with Florida Gulf Coast and USC Upstate beginning competition in 2007-08.
