CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Gardner-Webb goalie Tyler Kettering moved into a tie for the school's all-time saves lead after stopping 10 shots in a 3-0 loss to Charlotte on Wednesday.
The Bulldogs came out firing, but could not find the back of the net, falling to Charlotte 3-0. The loss drops the Bulldogs to 0-4-2, while the 49ers improve to 4-3-1 on the year.
In the first half, Gardner-Webb would get off six shots but to no avail, as Charlotte’s GK David Martin was solid in the net stopping five of the shots that were on frame.
Not to be outdone, GWU keeper Tyler Kettering stopped six 49ers’ shots in the first half, taking the score into halftime at 0-0.
