Former A-Sun foes square off in Jacksonville's regular-season finale as the Jaguars travel to Boca Raton to face the FAU Owls. The two battled in the A-Sun from 1997 to 2005. Overall, the Owls own a slight 12-9-1 advantage in the series history. Last year, the Owls beat the Dolphins 1-0 in Jacksonville, Fla. Both schools enter the match as champions. The Dolphins won the A-Sun regular-season crown and the Owls won the Atlantic Soccer Conference regular-season crown last week.

BELMONT UPSETS NATIONALLY RANKED FURMAN Entering Friday night's matchup with No. 16 Furman, Belmont had never defeated a nationally ranked foe and junior Ryan Hooks had never attempted a shot on goal. Both streaks came to end as the Bruins turned that Sweet No. 16 ranking sour with a 2-1 road win in overtime and Hooks scored the game-winning goal on his first collegiate shot on goal. Furman entered the game 14-2 and winners of seven of its previous eight.
FOR SECOND STRAIGHT SEASON, CAMELS BOOT HEELS Following last year's 1-0 triumph in Buies Creek, N.C. over then No.3 UNC, Campbell travelled to Chapel Hill, N.C. and beat the Tar Heels for the second straight season.With the win, the Fighting Camels gained their first road win against an Atlantic Coast Conference opponent since a 6-3 victory at Maryland in 1993. CU also played its 16th-straight contest that was decided by one goal or ended in a draw. The Camels have won 10 of those 16 matches with two ties. Richard Jata scored the game-winning goal and Campbell improved to 10-0-0 in games when Jata scores since the start of the 2006 season.
AXELSSON BUILDS POY CASE WITH HAT TRICK One week after leading Jacksonville to the regular-season title, JU forward Anton Axelsson might have locked up the Player of the Year award after registering a hat trick against Flagler. He became just the just the third to score a hat trick in the conference this seasone. With one game remaining in regular-season play, Axelsson leads the A-Sun in goals, 15 (four ahead of second place) and points, 34 (11 ahead of second place). He will have one last chance to build on his numbers when the Dolphins face FAU on Friday.
LEAGUE ENTERS FINAL WEEK OF REGULAR-SEASON PLAY With the 2007 Atlantic Sun Men's Soccer Championship, Presented by Bealls Outlet, starting next week, there are just a handful of games this week. Only half of the league's 10 squads are in action and only two (Campbell are Florida Gulf Coast) are playing two games this weekend.
