DeLAND, FLA. – Josue Soto scored the game’s only goal and Aaron Johnson made nine saves as Campbell shutout Stetson Saturday night in Atlantic Sun men’s soccer action at the Stetson Soccer Complex.
The Fighting Camels extended their unbeaten string to three matches (2-0-1) while improving to 5-2-1 on the year, 1-0-1 in the A-Sun. Stetson saw its four-match winning streak come to a close and fell to 5-3-0, 1-1-0.
A freshman from Monterrey, Mexico, Soto scored on a breakaway off Austin Skakle’s pass in the 52nd minute. The midfielder has scored in three-consecutive matches and leads the team with 11 points on five goals and one assist.
