MACON, Ga. - Campbell's impressive 2-1 victory at ACC power North Carolina last week vaulted standouts Richard Jata and Aaron Johnson to Atlantic Sun Player of the Week honors as announced by the league office on Monday.

Jata assisted on the first goal and scored the winner in CU's victory, marking the team's second win over the Tar Heels in as many years. The win handed Campbell its first road victory over an ACC team since a 6-3 victory at Maryland in 1993, and the Camels improved to 10-0-0 when junior midfielder scores since he joined the team in 2006. The strike was his third game-winner of the year (USC Upstate, Belmont) and tied him for fifth in the league in the category. The pre-season A-Sun player of the year ranks among the league's top 10 in goals (5) and goals per game (0.33). Jata majors in Mass Communications.

Johnson made four saves to help anchor the winning defense for the Camels. The junior goalkeeper has allowed just one goal in his last 291 minutes while ranking second among A-Sun keepers in goals-against average (1.02) and 22nd nationally in saves. In the win, the St. Charles, Mo., native lowered his career GAA to 1.09, best in the 45-year history of the Campbell program. Johnson majors in Business Administration.

Campbell concludes the regular season with home matches against UNC Greensboro and High Point before heading into the Atlantic Sun Championship presented by Bealls Outlet as the No. 3 seed.
