Macon, Ga. - North Florida's Jose Terrera was named men's tennis Atlantic Sun
Player of the Week today by the conference office.
The Cordoba, Argentina native went 2-0 in singles and 1-1 in doubles play. He
suffered his a 9-7 loss against # 5 Ole Miss, to the Rebels' Bram ten Berge and
Jacob Klaeson in a match where Terrera and partner Matias Sigal served for match
point, which would have given UNF the doubles point against the Rebels.
A finance major, Terrera has won four of his last five matches in singles play.
The Atlantic Sun Conference announces the Player of the Week every Tuesday during
the 2006 men's tennis campaign.
The 11-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., consists of Belmont, Campbell,
ETSU, Florida Atlantic, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb,
Mercer, North Florida and Stetson.
