Mercer's Woolfolk Takes Men's Tennis POTW

Macon, Ga. - Mercer's Warren Woolfolk was named Atlantic Sun Men's Tennis Player of the Week today as announced by the conference office.

The senior from Columbus, Ga., went 3-0 in singles at the No. 2 position, knocking off Bernardo Bachino of Jacksonville State, Anando Sawmynaden of the Citadel, and Elliot Quibell of Coastal Carolina. He deafeated each of them in straight sets.

Woolfolk teamed up with Tobias Ohrstrom to defeat Scott Robertson and Christian Rybertt of JSU, 8-6.

Woolfolk is 13-6 on the season in singles play and has won nine straight matches. He is undefeated in conference play.

The Atlantic Sun Conference announces the Player of the Week every Tuesday during the 2006 men's tennis campaign.

The 11-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., consists of Belmont, Campbell, ETSU, Florida Atlantic, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Florida and Stetson.
