Mondini Merits First Career A-Sun Weekly Award

MACON, Ga. – Beto Mondini led Campbell to a split at the VCU 4+1 Invitational to start the spring season. For his performance, Mondini claimed the first Player of the Week award of his career, the conference office announced on Wednesday.

At the VCU Invitational, the senior from Salvador-Bahia finished as the only Camel at a perfect 2-0 in singles play. Campbell fell to Georgetown, 3-2, before defeating Navy, 3-2. Mondini defeated Georgetown's Charlie Caris, 6-2, 6-0 before knocking off Marcus Rebersak of Navy, 6-4, 5-7, 6-3.

Thibaud Aime, FGCU (Sr. - No. 1 Singles - Figeac, France - Marketing) – Playing at the number one singles position on Tuesday, Aime defeated USF's No. 64 ranked Jamal Adderley, 6-0, 4-6, 10-8. Playing No. 1 doubles. Aime and Matthew Rock defeated USF's Thomas Estrada and Romain Derrider, 8-7. On Saturday, Aime and Rock won again at No. 1 doubles against Georgia Southern's Jayraj Jadeja/Justin Flynn, 8-4, securing the doubles point for the Eagles.

Javier Tori, USC Upstate (Sr. - No. 4 - Lima, Peru - Economics & Finance) – Playing at No. 7 Georgia on Saturday, Tori put USC Upstate on the board with a dramatic, come-from-behind three-set win against Bo Seal, taking the match, 1-6, 6-4, 6-3, for his school-record 61st career singles win.
