Ribeiro Captures Weekly Tennis Award for the Buccaneers

MACON, Ga. – ETSU's Rogerio Ribeiro earned his second career Atlantic Sun Men's Tennis Weekly Honors after ending the season undefeated in conference play with singles wins vs. Mercer and Kennesaw State.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Rogerio Ribeiro, ETSU
 (So. – São Paulo, Brazil – Exercise Science)

  • Second Career A-Sun Player of the Week honor; first this season
  • Finished the A-Sun season with a perfect 8-0 record in singles and doubles
  • Overcame Mercer's Arnav Mohanty, 6-2, 5-7, 6-1,
  • Ended the regular season with a win, 6-1, 6-0, past KSU's Maksim Yorsh
  • Paired with Bandres for 8-2 and 8-3 wins in doubles
  • Led ETSU to clinch the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye

OTHER NOMINEES:

  • Cahit Kapukiran (Fr., Stetson) – Teamed with Nathan Debut to win 9-8 (5) in doubles to secure the point for the Hatters
