KENNESAW, Ga. – Eduardo Rincon has been named head coach for the Kennesaw State men's tennis program, Karen Pfeifer, associate athletics director for student-athlete welfare, announced on Thursday.

Rincon arrives at Kennesaw State after five years as assistant coach at the University of Arkansas and three years as the assistant women's coach at the University of Alabama.

"We are thrilled to have Coach Rincon join the Owls family," Pfeifer said. "His coaching and playing histories have been at extremely high levels and we are excited to bring his experience to our men's tennis program. It is time for our team to take the next step up the ladder of the Atlantic Sun Conference and Coach Rincon is the person to lead the charge and beyond."

Throughout his time at Arkansas, Rincon totaled 68 wins, including several against top 50 teams. During their 2012 and 2013 seasons, the Razorbacks were named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association Academic All-American team.

"I am thrilled about joining the Kennesaw State family and I would like to thank Karen Pfeifer and Vaughn Williams for this opportunity," Rincon said. "I fell in love with Kennesaw State the minute I stepped on campus and I believe we can get our tennis program conference, regional, and ultimately national recognition."

Rincon has already begun the process of reaching out to the KSU and local tennis communities.
