MACON, Ga. - Campbell's Davy Sum did not drop a set in two singles wins last week, and also notched a pair of doubles victories for the Camels as they picked up their fifth straight victory. On Friday, the freshman garnered his first career Atlantic Sun Player of the Week honor the conference office announced.
Having now won five straight singles bouts at number one, Sum went 2-0 in singles action at this past week. The business administration major won both in straight sets; first secured a critical 6-1, 6-2 match over Jaroslav Horvath in Campbell’s 4-3 win over East Carolina, then claimed a 6-4, 6-1 win over Charles Bottoni as the Camels defeated High Point 5-2. The Strasbourg, France native also claimed two number-one doubles matches with partner Gabriel Delarue
