JOHNSON CITY, Tenn.. - The top-seeded ETSU Buccaneers continued their quest for a second consecutive conference title Saturday afternoon with a 4-0 victory over No. 5 Gardner-Webb.
The Bucs (22-3) secured the doubles point with victories at the Nos. 1 and 2 positions. The team of Oscar Posada/Alex Ahlgren picked up an 8-1 win against Evgeny Slesarev/Andrew Veeder, and Enrique Olivares/Sebastian Serrano consolidated the point with an 8-2 victory versus Josh Ray/Grant Van Rensburg.
Atlantic Sun Player of the Year Olivares dropped fellow First-Team performer Slesarev 6-4, 6-2 at the top singles position, and Posada and Daniel Isaza closed out the triumph with straight set wins at Nos. 5 and 6, respectively.
The Bucs will face off with second-seeded Stetson in the championship round Sunday morning at 10 a.m.
