A-Sun Holds 15th Annual Compliance Conference at ETSU

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The 2007 Atlantic Sun Conference held its Compliance Seminar on July 12-13 on the campus of ETSU. This gathering marked the 15th year for the annual event.

Attendees of the Compliance Seminar were treated to outstanding presentations by Katy Yurk, the NCAA Associate Director of Membership Services and Mike Glazier, Chair of Collegiate Sports Practice Group of Bond, Schoeneck and King Law Firm in Overland Park, Kan. The seminar provided legislative updates and compliance guidance to Faculty Athletics Representatives, Compliance, Financial Aid, Academic Advising, Admissions and Registrar’s Office personnel from the A-Sun institutions.

The 2008 A-Sun Compliance Seminar will be held in Kennesaw, Georgia, and will be hosted by Kennesaw State University.

The Atlantic Sun Conference is a 12-member league committed to Building Winners for Life, with a focus on academic and athletic integrity and a balance between the two for the student-athlete, and maintaining a high level of sportsmanship.
