GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Kendal Courtney and Taylor Nyquist combined to lead Jacksonville past previously unbeaten Clemson 3-2. The Tigers received votes in last week's coaches poll.

Nyquist paced the Dolphins (3-4) offense with 21 kills and 17 digs in handing the Tigers (4-1) their first loss of the season. Senior Alliya Drzewiecki (15) and junior Alison Loeppky (11) each finished with double-digit kills, while sophomore Kendall Courtney tallied 55 assists.

“I’m so proud of our team right now,” JU head coach Shaun Kupferberg said. “They fought with one of the top programs in the country and came away victorious. We have been in several matches like this one this year which will eventually help us in A-Sun play.”

The Tigers, who were receiving votes in the national poll, got 23 kills from Sandra Adeleye, while Kristin Faust added 17 kills.
