MACON, Ga. – Lipscomb’s Katie Rose set a pair of school records on her way to earning Atlantic Sun Volleyball Player of the Week honors in the season’s second week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Katie Rose, Lipscomb (Sr. – Middle Blocker – Lexington, Ky. – Education)
- First A-Sun Player of the Week award
- Earned All-Tournament honors at the inaugural Lipscomb Invitational
- Set two school records: 8 solo blocks versus Arkansas State and 7 aces versus Tennessee Tech
- Hit a scorching .426 on the weekend while averaging 11.66 kills per match
OTHER NOMINEES:
- Alyssa Lang (Sr., Kennesaw State) – Totaled 44 kills in three matches to help Owls to two wins
- Emily Sanders (Jr., USC Upstate) – Named All-Tournament at Radford Invitational
- Nicole Baran (Jr., UNF) – Libero averaged 3.64 digs per set at Deacon Invitational
- Taylor Nyquist (Sr., Jacksonville) – Exploded for 21 kills/17 digs in win versus Clemson
- Megan Devine (So., ETSU) – Ran her double-digit kills streak to five matches
- Maggie Johnson (Sr., Belmont) – Tallied a pair of 20-kill matches at Kansas Invitational
- Anna Coursey (Sr., Mercer) – Led Mercer to first win with 5 kills/4 blocks versus Norfolk State
