MACON, Ga. - The 2012 Atlantic Sun tennis season begins this weekend with FGCU hosting FGCU Invitational and North Florida - ranked 74th in the ITA rankings - travelling to Tallahassee to take on the 44th-ranked Florida State Seminoles.
ETSU enters the season as the five-time defending tournament champion and starts the year on Jan. 27 against Tulsa. Stetson, who has finished runner-up at the A-Sun Championship the last six season, faces South Carolina State in their first dual match on Feb. 5. The remaining six teams begin their slates in the following two weeks of play.
This year, 14 of the 30 members of last year's All-Conference team are set to return. ETSU hosts the 2012 Atlantic Sun Tennis Championships from April 20-22 in Johnson City, Tenn.
