Patrick McCoy joined the Atlantic Sun Conference as its Director of Sports Information in August 2010.

Prior to his time at the A-Sun, McCoy worked at two college athletic departments; the Charlotte 49ers and Newberry College. With the 49ers, McCoy served as the assistant contact for the nationally-ranked men’s and women’s soccer teams while also overseeing the media relation efforts for the softball, cross country and track & field squads. During his time at Newberry, McCoy worked as the contact for men’s and women’s soccer, softball and the NCAA Division II Runner-up wrestling team.

A University of Kentucky graduate, McCoy obtained a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Strategic Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Business in May 2008. While at Kentucky, McCoy worked as a student volunteer in the athletic media relations office assisting with the men’s and women’s basketball teams and baseball.

McCoy volunteered in the spring of 2008 with the Southeastern Conference at the Men’s Basketball and Baseball Conference Tournaments and also at the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament First and Second Round Games in Birmingham, Ala.

A native of Roopville, Ga., McCoy attended Oak Mountain Academy in Carrollton, Ga. from which he graduated in 2004.
