Eric Moyer joined the Atlantic Sun Conference staff as Director of Communications in the summer of 2007.
Prior to joining the Atlantic Sun, Moyer worked in the research department of ESPN in Bristol, Conn. His responsibilities included preparing pre-game, in-game and post-game notes for both college basketball and major league baseball games televised by the network.
Moyer spent the 2004 season as a media relations assistant for the Cincinnati Reds. In the off-season, he updated the records section of the team’s media guide and was given the task of proofing the displays in the new Reds’ Hall of Fame and Museum before it opened.
A native of Cincinnati, Moyer graduated from St. Xavier High School before attending the University of Missouri-Columbia where he graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor's of Journalism degree. After college, he worked in the media relations department of the Nashville Sounds, then the triple-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, and at the Birmingham News as a sports writer.
