Matt Wilson joined the Atlantic Sun Conference staff as Assistant Commissioner for Championships and Communications in the summer of 2005.

He plays an active role in all aspects of the league's championship programs while maintaining oversight and administrative duties related to the A-Sun's communication efforts.

Wilson worked in the Belmont University media relations office for seven years including the last two as Assistant Athletics Director for Media Relations. During his tenure, the athletics department upgraded all facets of the program, most notably the department's online presence and its stable of media guides. Additionally, Wilson served as Assistant Tournament Director for both the 2004 and 2005 Atlantic Sun Men's Basketball Championships.

A native of Columbia, Tenn., Matt graduated from Belmont University in 1998 with a B.A. in History. In addition to his work at Belmont, Wilson has also worked as an official scorer for the Class AAA Nashville Sounds and as a member of the Tennessee Titans' post-game media staff.

Matt married the former Sara Miles in July of 2004. The couple resides in Macon, Ga., and welcomed their first child, Mia, to the family in March.
