![]() Booker began her term with the Atlantic Sun Conference in January 1994. She first joined the conference staff as an Administrative Assistant and was promoted to Assistant Commissioner in 1997, to Associate Commissioner in 2004 and to Senior Associate Commissioner in July 2008. She also serves as the conference Senior Woman Administrator. Her current duties within the conference include serving as administrator of numerous conference sports (women’s basketball, softball and volleyball) while also serving as a senior team leader of the combined men’s and women’s basketball championships. She serves as liaison to various conference officiating programs and assisted in the implementation of the volleyball and softball officiating programs. While serving as liaison to various administrative and coaches’ advisory committees, she also serves as the liaison to the A-Sun Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), for all NCAA committee nominations and for student-athlete affairs issues. She previously served as sport administrator in women’s soccer and men’s and women’s tennis while also assisting in the day to day operations of the NCAA Special Assistance Fund, Student-Athlete Opportunity Fund and the CCA National Letter of Intent programs. Booker recently served as the A-Sun representative to the NCAA Championships/Sports Management Cabinet and cabinet liaison to the Division I Men’s and Women’s Tennis Committee and Division I Softball Committee. She also served on the Cabinet’s Bracket Format and Awards/Travel Policies/Bylaw 16 subcommittees. During the 2010-2011 year, Booker was named the administrator of the A-Sun Women’s Basketball Grant Program when the conference was awarded one of 14 NCAA Division I women’s basketball grants to increase awareness, exposure and attendance of women’s basketball. She also serves as the conference liaison for the NCAA Women’s Basketball Pack the House Program. In addition to her duties in the A-Sun, Booker serves on the Policy Committee of the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) which serves several A-Sun member institutions that sponsor swimming and diving and on the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame Screening Committee. Booker is a 2011 graduate of the NCAA/NACWAA Executive Institute. Prior to joining the A-Sun, Booker was employed in the Austin Peay State University athletics department. The Tennessee native earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Austin Peay State University and completed her master’s degree in administration and supervision at Georgia College and State University. |
