BUIES CREEK, N.C.—Kelli Hall has been named to the Campbell University softball
coaching staff Camels head coach Drew Peterson announced Wednesday. Hall comes
to Campbell after serving as the assistant coach at D-II University of Indianapolis
last year.
“Kelli is the perfect fit for our needs in a graduate assistant coach,” Peterson
said. “She has significant operations experience through her time at Marshall
University and coaching experience while at the University of Indianapolis. Kelli
has strong teaching skills and a genuine joy in the way she carries herself. Our
players and staff feel blessed to have this new addition to the Campbell family.”
Hall played her collegiate softball at Marshall University in Huntington, W.V.
from 1999-2003; where she was an outfielder for the Thundering Herd. She received
her degree in criminal justice from Marshall in the summer of 2003.
As the assistant coach from the Greyhounds, Hall was responsible for recruiting,
game management, player development and the travel arrangements. Under her guidance,
the Indianapolis finished 27-18 last year. Prior to taking the post at Indianapolis,
Hall was a senior sales associate for Glenn’s Sporting Goods in Huntington. She
was responsible for the oversight of seven employees and was in charge of the
inventory and ordering.
Hall held several positions while she was working on her degree at Marshall. First
she was an instructor at the Diamond Mine Softball Clinic in Huntington from November
of 2002 through the following May and she was also the student assistant to football
operations for the Herd from August of 2002 also through that following May.
