STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Atlantic Sun Softball had five teams ranked on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Academic list, including three to crack the top-15. The Scholar-Athlete list was announced by the NFCA Thursday afternoon.

Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville and UNF were the teams garnering top-15 recognition. The Bulldogs were ranked seventh with a team GPA of 3.43. The Dolphins were ranked 11th and had a 3.393 team GPA, and the Ospreys were 14th with a 3.360 GPA.

Stetson and Mercer were ranked 64th and 83rd respectively. The Hatters posted a 3.136 GPA and the Bears a 2.985.
