MACON, Ga. - Lipscomb's Christen Campbell threw her first career no-hitter against Louisiana Tech to earn her second career Pitcher of the Week award. Courtney Platt proved to be the hitting star for the FGCU offense, collecting nine RBI, to earn her first caerer Player of the Week honor, the conference announced Monday.

Campbell, a Bartlett, Tenn., native struck out four batters and walked only two. The junior pitched her no-hitter on Saturday in the 1-0 decision against Louisiana Tech in the Louisiana Classics. The exercise science major led the Lady Bisons with two hits, including driving in the only run of the game.

Platt led the Eagles to a 4-1 finish at the Blue & Gold Felsberg Memorial Tournament hosted by FIU. The sophomore finished the week with a pair of home runs (the first home runs of her collegiate career), a .571 batting average, a .647 on-base percentage, and a 1.286 slugging percentage. The Naples, Fla., native also had nine RBI, scored five runs, hit four doubles, and stole one base.

Other Top Performers
Erica Demers, Stetson (P - Miami, Fla. - Sr. - Communication Studies) -- Demers went 3-0 with a 0.67 ERA to lead Stetson to the Hatter Invitational title. She shut out defending America East conference champions Albany twice on the weekend, holding the Great Danes to three hits on Friday in a 5-0 win and two hits on Sunday in a 1-0 victory. In Sunday's win, Demers recorded eight strikeouts to set the Stetson career record with 506 punch outs. Demers, who also defeated Bethune-Cookman this weekend, ranks eighth in A-Sun history in that category.

Karlie Love, Campbell (1B - Mt. Airy, N.C. - Sr. - Government) -- Love continued the hot streak in the second week of the season at the Camel Stampede. The senior hit .462 for the week with two home runs, two doubles and six RBI. Love's batting average was among the tournament leaders while she did lead the five-team tournament field in home runs (two), RBIs (six), hits (six) and total bases (14). Love roped a single in her first at-bat against Bucknell on Friday, the next day, against Ohio with Campbell trailing 4-2, Love tied the score with her two run home run to centerfield. The Camels ignited by the home run did not trail the rest of the game. In the seventh against the Bobcats she started another rally with her double down the line. She ended the Ohio game going 2-for-4 with two RBI. In CU's next game Love gave the Camels all the offense they would need with her two-run home run in the first inning (game-winner) in a 5-0 win versus Charleston Southern on Saturday, the Mt. Airy native completed her three-game day with a two-run double against St. Joseph's for Campbell, for her standout play, Love secured a spot on the Camel Stampede All-Tournament Team and was honored as the Most Outstanding Playerthis season Love is hitting .440 (11-for-25) with two doubles, five home runs, 14 RBIs, 28 total bases and has a slugging percentage of 1.120

Catherine McDaniel, FGCU (P - Melbourne, Fla. - Jr. - Early Childhood Education) -- McDaniel made a pair of appearances for the Eagles last week and finished with a 2-0 record at the Blue & Gold Felsberg Memorial Tournament hosted by FIU. McDaniel pitched a pair of complete games and finished 2-0 and had a 0.00 ERA. She pitched 12.0 innings, struck out 11 batters, and only allowed six hits in her two wins. In FGCU’s 9-0 shut out of Georgetown, McDaniel picked up her third win of the season, giving up only one hit and picking up her first shutout as an Eagle. She also struck out three batters in the win. McDaniel pitched another strong game In FGCU’s 8-1 win against Temple, improving to 4-0 in four starts this season. McDaniel allowed just one unearned run on five hits and a couple walks while striking out eight batters to pick up the win.

Kellie Sirus, Lipscomb (1B - Sarasota, Fla. - Jr. - Psychology) -- Kellie led the Lady Bisons in hitting as they posted a 3-2 record to start the season in the Louisiana Classics in Lafayette, La. She had three hits in two games, wins over Providence and McNeese State, and two hits in one game. She is making the transition this season from third base and the outfield to first base.
