MACON, Ga. – Jacksonville’s Olivia Kline hurled a no-hitter against ETSU and added two more victories on the week to earn the Atlantic Sun Conference Pitcher of the Week award, while Campbell’s Katie Hinton picked up her second Player of the Week honor this season by batting. 581 with 10 hits in a 5-1 week for the Camels.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Katie Hinton, Campbell (OF – Sr. – College Station, Texas – Kinesiology)
• Second A-Sun Player of the Week award
• Batted .581 on the week with 10 hits, three extra-base hits, and five RBI
• Scored the go-ahead runs against Lipscomb and Belmont
• Drove in three runs and stole four bases in second game against Belmont
• Had multi-hit games in four of the six outings
OTHER NOMINEES:
• Sharon Swanson (OF, Kennesaw State) – Totaled three home runs, 11 hits and seven RBI
• Courtney Platt (LF, FGCU) – Recorded hits in every game of the week including two doubles
• Mariah Reynolds (DP/OF, UNF) – Drove in five runs against ETSU; first Osprey to achieve feat since 2008
• Amanda Schmidt (3B, Jacksonville) – Drove in nine runs and scored eight runs in six wins
• Kassie Bailey (1B, Mercer) – Hit walk-off homer in bottom of eighth inning against Stetson

• Hurled no-hitter against ETSU in 9-0 road conference victory
• Started off week with seven strikeouts in a three-hit complete game shutout at Georgia Southern
• Allowed her lone earned run of the week in 4-1 complete-game victory against USC Upstate
• Went 3-0 on the week with a 0.33 ERA and 13 strikeouts
OTHER NOMINEES:
• Abbey Meixel (So., Kennesaw State) – Struck out a total of 25 batters in two conference games
• Catherine McDaniel (Sr., FGCU) – Earned two wins in conference play with a shutout
• Cortney Radke (Fr., UNF) – Picked up three wins with a 0.65 ERA by fanning 25 batters
• Katie Woodcock (Sr., Campbell) – Helped Camels to a 5-1 record with two wins and two saves
• Kari Chambers (Sr., Mercer) – Hurled two complete game victories; posted a 0.44 ERA
